INFLUENZA - "The Flu"
General Information
Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses, causing mild to severe illness. Those at risk for complications are older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting vaccinated each year.
Flu vaccines at the Modoc Public Health Clinic
- By appointment only unless it's a "walk-in" day- call (530) 233-6311 for appointments, or click here to check the calendar for open walk-in clinic dates and times. Currently, Health Services often has walk-ins at the Health Hub next to the Elks Lodge on Main Street, from 2-4pm on most Thursdays.
